It also includes a cash budget , which forecasts the flow of cash and other funds in the business. Cash budgeting (cash planning) is a critical part of budgeting because it is essential to have the right sums of cash available at the right times.

All the definitions of the Financial Budget that you can find in the net, all narrow down to one common theme that  describes about a company’s future operations, expectations, and cashflow.  My definition of Financial Budget is a well organized and written plan of a company’s future operations, expectation and funding activities translated into financial numbers.  The Financial Budget takes consideration of a company’s historical performance and uses it as a basis to forecast its future business activities, expectations and undertakings.  financial-budget-3

A Financial Budget forms part of a company’s Business Plan.  For benefit of readers, who are new to this topic, the Business Plan is a written roadmap that spells out the details of a company’s near future mission, operational objectives, financial objectives and how they will be achieved.
